Our story

Anuraagam means affection, set to a raagam.

We built this community so that love for Telugu music didn't have to stay a solo, headphones-in kind of thing. It could be a room, a stage, and a mic that anyone could walk up to.

How it started

Five friends, a garage, and one borrowed sax.

Anuraagam began in 2023 as a handful of friends in Hyderabad meeting up to jam on weekends — mostly Telugu film songs, a bit of Carnatic, whatever someone felt like singing that day. Word spread, the garage got crowded, and we moved to real venues.

Today, Anuraagam runs monthly open jam nights and curated showcase evenings across Hyderabad, with a house band, a rotating cast of guest artists, and an audience that keeps coming back — some to sing, most to simply belong to the room for a night.

What we believe
  • Music is participatory. A great raagam isn't just heard, it's sung along to.
  • Beginners belong on stage too. Our open slots exist for exactly that.
  • Small rooms, real connection. We keep every session capped on seats.
